Do you provide care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia? You are not alone. We know caregiving can be stressful. This FREE program will teach:
- stress management techniques
- relaxation and coping strategies
The program is available for family caregivers for individuals with dementia. It meets weekly (for nine weeks) for 90 minute sessions. Groups contain up to nine people and meet at Kankakee First Church of the Nazarene, 1000 N Entrance Avenue in Kankakee on Tuesdays from October 16 – December 11, 2018 from 10:00AM – 11:30AM.

The Stress-Busting Program for Family Caregivers was developed at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and distributed by WellMed Charitable Foundation. Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet is able to present this program with help from the Agency on Aging: Northeastern Illinois.
