We are pleased to announce that our Aging and Disability Services Division has expanded several programs funded by AgeGuide Northeastern Illinois into Will County.
The new programs offered by Catholic Charities in Will County include the following:
Aging & Disability Resource Network Services
Trained professionals provide older adults and their caregivers with current information on opportunities and services available within the community. Linkage and referral to programs at this agency or other community partners, such as Will County Senior Services and the Community Care Program, is also included.
Senior Health Insurance Program Services
The Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) is a free statewide health insurance counseling service for Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers. Certified and trained staff are available to assist answering questions or completing enrollment for Medicare, Medicaid, drug plans, or other benefit programs.
Community Based Programming
Older adults have the opportunity to participate in educational events, health screens, and recreational programs which include crafting and exercise groups.
Telephone Reassurance Program Services
This program connects socially isolated older adults with volunteer callers who provide friendly phone calls throughout the week in an effort to reduce loneliness and increase personal connections.
