August is Catholic Charities Month

While summer is a time of rest and recreation for many, it can be especially difficult for those living in poverty. At Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet, we are seeing a growing demand for essential services.

Without air conditioning, extreme heat can pose serious health risks. Rising food and housing costs are pushing already struggling families closer to crisis. Many are making impossible choices between rent, food, and basic necessities.
