Sharing the Warmth 2023

Where would we be without those who went before us, the people who built the future for us to enjoy? Due to unfortunate circumstances, many older individuals are left alone with their memories. This is especially tragic at the holidays when the very meaning of Christmas includes good will towards others.

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet sponsors a holiday program in Kankakee County designed to assist senior citizens in our community who are in need. This program, called Sharing the Warmth, encourages the community to reach out to seniors by providing them with presents and kind sentiments during the holidays.

Sharing the Warmth is a simple and rewarding way to send someone a message that they are loved and appreciated.

Based on your interest and financial commitment, you will be anonymously matched to one or more seniors in need. Seniors participating in the program will complete a form outlining some of their modest needs and wants with all necessary specifications.

As a donor, you will receive a copy of their requests and can provide as much as you are able. Your gift will be hand delivered in time for them to enjoy a memorable Christmas. There are no words to describe the joy you will bring to someone through your participation in this program.
