Online Registration – Parenting Class (Project Protect)

The Illinois Supreme Court now mandates all parents and guardians involved in a divorce, allocation of parental responsibility, parenting time or paternity dispute, where children under 18 are involved, to attend a parenting class. The purpose of the class is to lessen the negative emotional impact of the process on the children, and maximize the children’s healthy psychological and social development. The class will last four hours and each party is required to take the class at different times. The completion of the class is mandatory and the Court will not complete the lawsuit until all parties have complied.

The Project Protect Total Class Fee: $100

$20 registration fee by credit/debit card.
$80 balance due the day of class prior to walking in the classroom (cash or money order only).

Please note, a 24 hour notice of cancellation is required, or a $20 re-registration fee will apply.

Childcare is not provided. Class is for adults only. No weapons, drugs, alcohol, or smoking allowed.

You will receive a certificate at the end of class – give this certificate to your attorney or directly to your Judge.

Questions regarding an inability to afford the class fee must be discussed with the Registration Coordinator at 815-723-0331 prior to your class. For qualified individuals, the Income Affidavit must be obtained, completed, and filed with Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet at least two business days prior to class date.

E-mail confirmation of registration fee will be forwarded immediately after entering your credit card information. Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet will send a second e-mail confirming class date and time. PLEASE NOTE: Check your SPAM mail for confirmation of class if you don’t receive a confirmation in regular email. If you have any difficulty with online registration, call 815-723-0331.
