This year we pray you will help those living in crisis have all that they need.
Merry Christmas! Although Christmas is a wonderful time of year, please remember those who, like the Holy Family, are facing poverty. Jesus was born into a humble, poor, but loving environment, like so many of the families we serve at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. We truly see Christ
in the eyes of the poor.
Daybreak Center, the Agency’s homeless shelter in Will County, operates 365 days per year, including Christmas Day. Imagine falling asleep next to your children at a shelter on Christmas Eve wondering what the next day will bring. While you enjoy a joyful Christmas morning filled with family, gifts, and a delicious breakfast, there’s a very different reality for the many families staying at Daybreak Center. We must meet the needs of our poor and vulnerable neighbors to assist at Christmas and beyond. Please help.
Pope Francis urges us to focus on simplicity, charity and love at Christmas. A Christmas gift to Catholic Charities, Diocese
of Joliet will provide warmth, safety, opportunity, and love to those who need it most. Please be generous.
May you and your loved ones enjoy a blessed Christmas and be inspired by the gift of Christ!
