Annual Holiday Appeal (November 1 – December 31)
When Jesus was born, the angels sang in praise of God: “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests” (Luke 2:14). As you spend peaceful moments reflecting upon your blessings this season, please remember those who are facing the challenges of poverty.
Your generosity will provide vital services to children who go to bed hungry each night, older adults who suffer abuse, veterans in need of counseling services, and homeless families who are searching for safe place to sleep. Your gift will help more than 64,000 individuals in need, including:
- Maureen, a single mom with two young children, one of whom has special needs. She often goes without dinner because she only has enough food for her children.
- Ana and Marco, a married couple who are responsible for supporting their three children and Ana’s aging parents. The family is so financially burdened with medical bills that they are unable to afford their basic needs, such as groceries and rent.
- Donald, a 61 year-old veteran who struggles with PTSD and other mental health concerns. After many years of homelessness, he is now living in a permananet supportive housing unit and focusing on improving his health.
We pray you will be as generous as you can be. On behalf of those we serve, Merry Christmas and may God bless you and your families, always.
With peace and gratitude,
Glenn Van Cura, Executive Director
Kathleen Langdon, Director of Development & Communications
