Take Action: Help Save Head Start

The federal budget proposal includes a plan to eliminate funding for Head Start. This program helps low-income households with young children in our community and throughout the nation.

At Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet, we provide Head Start services in Will County. This includes five Head Start Centers (in Joliet and Bolingbrook), Early Head Start, and Home-Based Head Start.

Head Start provides early education, stability, and access to services that help parents work and support their families. Without it, families will lose access to affordable childcare — creating a domino effect that impacts jobs, housing, and food security.
