Undy Sunday (October 15th)
Many of us take things like underwear and socks from granted, but for low-income persons, especially children and seniors, they are often a luxury. Your church, civic group or community group can be part of this exciting underwear drive.

Holiday Outreach Program (November 1 – December 31)
(DuPage County) This program matches parishes with low-income families who have already prepared a personalized wish list and also asks individual donors to make monetary or gift card donations that will be distributed to needy families to purchase food during the Christmas holiday. Donations of new and unwrapped winter outerwear, hats, gloves and scarves in children’s and adult sizes will also be distributed to the low-income families and homeless who seek our help during the winter months. Each year the program meets the needs of over 700 families. To get involved or become a donor, email alambert@cc-doj.org.
(Will County) This program matches donors with low-income families from our Head Start and Early Head Start Programs. Head Start serves over 700 families each year. To get involved or become a donor, call at 815-723-3405.

Gift of Christmas (November 1 – December 1)
Brighten a life this Christmas! – sponsor a family through the Gift of Christmas Program and make their season as joyous as yours! Many of the families served at Catholic Charities rely on the generosity of our donors at Christmas to make the holidays bright. Many are single mothers and the elderly struggling to live on meager budgets. The stories are true and are based on the clients currently being served at Catholic Charities throughout the Diocese of Joliet.
