Most Reverend Ronald A. Hicks (Bishop of Diocese of Joliet), and the Board of Directors at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet have announced the appointment of Kathleen Langdon as Executive Director of the Agency. Langdon has worked at Catholic Charities for nine years and has served as Director of Development and Communications and also as the Interim Executive Director after the January 2021 departure of former Executive Director Glenn Van Cura.

Bishop Hicks was pleased with the decision and stated, “Ms. Langdon sees her work as her vocation. She is passionate about the mission of Catholic Charities and has a very strong Catholic identity.”

David Pezza, Chairperson of Catholic Charities’ Board of Directors also lent his support saying, “Kathleen has done excellent work as both the Director of Development and Communications and as Interim Director for Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet. The Board is confident that she will continue to display strong leadership and carry Catholic Charities forward in pursuing its mission and expanding its reach to those in need.”
